Light Soya Sauce
Soy sauce is an essential ingredient in Chinese cooking. It enhances flavor and the taste of Chinese cooking. In Malaysia, the soya sauce can be found in almost every kitchen, regardless of whether the owners are Chinese. Soya sauce is used for marinating; pour it on rice, as a dipping sauce as well as a replacement or sometimes to complement salt. The difference between light and dark soya sauce is in the ageing of the soya bean and the saltiness. Light soy is more common because of its lighter color and it is saltier. Interestingly, the Chinese have been using soy or soya sauce for at least 5,000 years ago.
